Your role and responsibilities
The Nuclear Competence Cluster Lead is responsible for driving the strategic development, coordination, and excellence of nuclear-related expertise within PAEN in Sweden. This role centers on fostering a collaborative environment where nuclear professionals can grow, innovate, and share knowledge to support organizational objectives and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance. The Nuclear Competence Cluster Lead should ensure that all initiatives and strategies are aligned with ABB’s focus on the customer, fostering a unified mission and message that supports the emerging needs of the new nuclear industry. In addition, the role requires a strong interest in product management, ensuring that nuclear competence development is closely connected to the design, delivery, and lifecycle of innovative solutions that meet customer and industry needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nuclear competence cluster, serving as the primary point of contact for all nuclear capability matters global PAEN for the northern hub
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance nuclear expertise and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge within the group
- Coordinate training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities for members of the cluster
- Promote knowledge-sharing initiatives and facilitate cross-functional collaboration on nuclear projects
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices related to nuclear operations
- Advise senior management on nuclear competency trends, risks, and opportunities
- Represent the cluster in external forums, industry events, and regulatory discussions
- Coordinate and communicate the aligned global message for ABB for nuclear
- Collaborate with product management teams to align nuclear competence initiatives with customer-focused solutions and innovation strategies

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Economics or Business
- Proven experience in leading and coordinating projects or teams on a global level
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing successful competency development initiatives
- Up-to-date knowledge of nuclear industry trends, standards, and technologies
- Demonstrated interest in product management and its application to nuclear industry solutions
