This Position reports to:
Distribution Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
The work model for the role is: #onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification – Smart Power Division in Egypt and North Africa region. Main stakeholders are distributors, wholesalers, retailers, small-scale panel builders, and internal sales & marketing teams
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
- Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers.
- Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
- Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
Qualifications for the role:
- Strong awareness of low voltage products, including ABB’s portfolio and competitors’ movements in the market.
- Proven ability to manage relationships across distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and small-scale panel builders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for driving growth in the distribution channel.
- Is immersed in SAP and highly skilled in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Dynamics).
- Has previous experience in a multinational environment, ideally within the electrical distribution or industrial automation sector.
- Enjoys working with CRM systems, channel management methodologies, and market intelligence tools, and understands the low voltage electrical products market.
- Has 5+ years of experience in sales, distribution channel management, or business development, preferably working as a Sales Specialist with low voltage products and solutions.
- Possesses an enhanced knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office.
- Is passionate about customer engagement, market analysis, and strategic selling, and is innovative around problem-solving and relationship building.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with proven experience in channel sales and product positioning.
- Is at ease communicating in English and Arabic.
- Holds a valid driver's license in Egypt and has the necessary work authorization for employment in Egypt
