We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Contract & Claim Manager to join our Coast Guard & Navy Business Line. In this key role, you will manage all contractual activities within the Local Business Line, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
You will work closely with Business Leaders, Project Managers, Finance teams, and top subject-matter experts on technologically advanced and strategically critical projects.
You will report to the Global Business Line Controller – Coast Guard & Navy and play a pivotal role in shaping decisions that matter.
Your Responsibilities
- Evaluate new and existing contracts for customers, suppliers, and related processes together with the Business Line team.
- Manage contract execution from kick-off to closure, including baselines, risks, variations, claims, payments, warranties, guarantees, and other commercial obligations in close collaboration with Project Execution teams.
- Drive claims and change management activities, ensuring ABB’s contractual and commercial positions are consistently protected.
- Identify, assess, and manage contract risks and opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the Local Business Line expert on local content requirements for tenders, including compliance with European defense/naval project frameworks.
- Ensure coordination with subject matter experts for adherence to insurance requirements, export controls, ABAC, HSE, Human Rights, and all other integrity and compliance standards.
- Support contract negotiations, dispute resolution processes, and project closeouts, capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management.
- Proven experience with commercially complex defense/naval projects or major civil critical infrastructure projects.
- Experience with offsets, local content requirements, or multinational project delivery.
- Excellent organizational skills and fluency in English.
- Security clearance required.
