This Position reports to:
Finance Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a business partner to the relevant business manager and leads local finance teams to optimize the financial performance within an assigned division / business area. Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.
The work model for the role is: on site
This role is contributing to the ELDS 3538 Package & Solution in Xiamen/ Shanghai,China. Main stakeholders are global division & BL manager / controller, Local division & BL manager / controller,
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Responsible for business planning and rolling forecast, drive and coordinate cross functions to achieve budget/forecast. Lead and responsible for annual budget and translating strategy into business plans and establishes measurable targets.
- Determining and implementing relative strategies and ensure the alignment with global and local division/BL strategies and support to business strategy and implementation, drive the business with profitable growth.
- Ensuring high quality and compliance of financial data and business information in line with defined standards & financial closing schedules and enforcement of group and division specific finance directives and instructions, enforcement of Group Accounting and Reporting Guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley [SOX], US GAAP and all ABB policies and taking the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance. Share functional best practices and lessons learned across the ABB organization.
- Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant stakeholders and also ensure a sound communication with FAO, identify and resolve the issues for quality and efficiency improvement.
- Ensuring that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, experienced and understands his/her role in driving the strategy and providing financial transparency. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies and supports the country and the Global BL to create, cultivate and develop talents and capabilities and review effectiveness.
- Ensuring risk management processes are consistently implemented in the company/business. Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions and guiding the team on local and global risk reviews with specific focus on risks/margins/cash flow/T&C’s etc.
- Implementing and following up the LBL project controlling instructions to all stakeholders and ensure projects are executed under global and local guidelines.

Qualifications for the role
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting is required.
- 8+ years of business controlling experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated performance and results; in the areas of business, finance, operational controlling and/or accounting.
- Strong financial manager, structured and results oriented leader with strong analytical and operational controlling skills.
- Business oriented mindset to support business development
- Risk management, project controlling and Solid SAP knowledge/experience (CO/FI) preferred.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in English, able to communicate with global technicians.
