Location HSE Manager & Country HSE Lead
We are looking for a colleague to join our ABB team in Brno for the position of OHS Specialist.
The main responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Fire Protection (FP) requirements, analyze risks, propose corrective and preventive measures, train employees, and carry out workplace inspections, among other activities.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the ELDS division
Your Role and Responsibilities
Risk analysis, job categorization, employee training in OHS and Fire Protection, and defining rules for contractors working at ABB sites
Maintaining records of OHS and Fire Protection non-conformities, including the status of corrective actions identified during internal audits, workplace inspections, SOTs, and other reviews
Hazard reporting and supervision of corrective actions, including monitoring compliance with deadlines
Proposing corrective and preventive measures and discussing them with responsible managers
Participation in internal audits, 5S audits, external audits, internal OHS inspections, customer audits, and inspections by authorities
Investigation of near misses and occupational accidents; proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Workplace inspections focused on compliance with OHS and Fire Protection regulations in accordance with applicable legislation and ABB internal standards
Alcohol and drug testing of employees
Handover of investments into operation (verification of investment documentation – declarations of conformity, records of operator training, initial inspections or installation certificates, user manuals in the Czech language)
Handling formal matters related to occupational accidents in accordance with applicable legislation
Maintenance of OHS and Fire Protection safety boards at the workplace
Cooperation in the creation of work procedures and workplace modifications with a focus on OHS and Fire Protection
Implementation of new standards and projects in production
Communication with authorities and health institutes in the area of HSE
Qualifications for the Role
Secondary or university education, preferably in a technical field
Qualification: Authorized Safety Engineer (OZO) for risk prevention in OHS according to Act No. 309/2006 Coll.
At least 1 year of experience in an OHS and Fire Protection specialist role
English language skills at a minimum level of B1
User-level knowledge of MS Office
Driving license category B
