ABB Robotics is undergoing a unique transformation with the announced acquisition of ABB Robotics by SoftBank Group, a global leader in technology, AI, and next-generation robotics.
In this context, we are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for Robotics in Brazil and Argentina, providing strategic legal advice and ensuring legal compliance, risk mitigation, and strong support for business decisions, always with a pragmatic, commercial, and results-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary legal reference for the Robotics business in Brazil and Argentina, providing generalist corporate legal support to leadership and business areas.
Provide expert legal guidance on Corporate, Commercial, Labor, Governance, Compliance, and Ethics matters, including contract negotiation and management and legal risk assessment.
Legally support strategic business initiatives, including partnerships, strategic alliances, commercial agreements, growth projects, and commercialization initiatives.
Conduct legal risk assessments, delivering clear recommendations, legal opinions, and approvals aligned with global policies.
Develop a strong understanding of business drivers, the robotics market, and the regulatory environment, supporting both legal and commercial decision-making.
Lead high-exposure legal matters, including the management of relevant litigation, interaction with authorities, and coordination of external law firms.
Support corporate governance activities, including board and committee meetings, corporate resolutions, corporate acts, and statutory filings in Brazil and Argentina.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring timely communication of impacts and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law and active qualification as a lawyer.
Proven experience acting as Legal Counsel or business-oriented legal advisor, with a generalist profile and strategic mindset.
Experience leading complex, high-exposure legal matters with direct business impact.
Strong ability in risk analysis, clear communication, and decision-making.
Advanced English (written and spoken) for interaction with regional and global teams.
Nice to Have
Previous experience in the Robotics, Automation, Technology, or Industrial sectors.
Regional experience or knowledge of Argentine legislation.
Intermediate or advanced Spanish.
