Sales Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
You will be the expert in delivering competitive bids/estimates/quotations to customers for Portugal Motion Business, based in Coimbra – Taveiro.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, your attention to detail and ability to negotiate with multiple partners will be vital to this key component of project planning.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Formulating bids that fully address customer needs and offering the most efficient and cost-effective solutions, in line with ABB policy.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate formulation of tender documents through coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Managing all aspects of the bid — including technical, financial, product management and risk reviews, in line with ABB standards.
- Coordinating with Supply Chain to identify potential suppliers for equipment and materials, through regular analysis of customer needs and market trends.
- Contributing to an effective, positive customer relationship throughout the Sales process.
- Analyzing and reporting on tender outcomes and identifying areas for improvement to increase success.

Qualifications for the Role
- University degree in electrotechnical engineering (preferred)
- 2 or more years of experience in Estimations and Tendering / Internal Sales activities with Electric Motors will be highly appreciated.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and high level of priority management.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills. Sound knowledge of Drives and Motors will be highly appreciated.
- Knowledge of Salesforce will be appreciated.
- Fluent in English
