Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This role is contributing to the EL Smart Power business in Xiamen, China
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supplier Audit and Qualification Certification: Plan and organize process audits and special audits for existing suppliers, and collaborate with the procurement and product engineering departments to carry out quality management system audits and qualification certification for new suppliers.
- Supplier Quality Performance and Risk Management: Collect and analyze supplier quality data (PPM, SPC, audit findings, etc.) to drive systematic quality improvements by suppliers. Implement quality control over key supplier processes and critical raw materials to prevent batch issues, and oversee the quality of newly introduced important suppliers or localized critical components.
- Supplier Quality Process Management: Promote suppliers' enhancement of quality control through automation, IT technology, and quality tools, and optimize major quality processes such as 5M1E change management, traceability, etc.
- Team Management: Responsible for the daily work planning, task allocation, coaching, staff motivation, and performance evaluation of the SQE team, as well as cross-departmental collaboration to ensure the team operates efficiently.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, familiar with stamping, machining, PCBA manufacturing, and component assembly processes, and knowledge about related quality characteristics, control plans, and common defects and analysis.
- Over 5 years of experience in SQE-related work, with more than 2 years of SQE team leader; experienced in coordinating teams to achieve quality objectives and leading supplier quality improvement projects.
- Familiar with and able to apply quality tools such as PPAP, SPC, FMEA, MSA, 5 Why, 8D, and Six Sigma.
- Possess strong logical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-department collaboration skills; clear oral and written communication skills; capable of producing high-quality audit reports, quality improvement plans, performance evaluation reports, and other documents.
- Good at supplier coaching, negotiation, tiered management, relationship maintenance, and interpersonal communication; able to drive suppliers in implementing quality improvement measures.
- Strong stress resistance, capable of rapid response and execution in urgent situations; principled, strictly adheres to quality standards, and able to balance quality, cost, and delivery efficiency.
