Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated Logistics Development Engineer for Motion High Power Division to act as a developer focusing on inbound, shipping and transport-related topics. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and developing logistics operations in both inbound and outbound, including milk-run type of local transportation requirements.
You will showcase your expertise for process streamlining, productivity and quality control -related development.
The most important stakeholders are third-party logistics, logistics service providers, purchasing and production line organizations.
The position is located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid
Your responsibilities
Daily operations support regarding material replenishment and other milk-run type transportation
3PL (third-party logistics) provider’s warehouse inbound, factory outbound and forwarding operations’ process support and development
Coordinating actions between 3PL, logistics service providers and internal stakeholders
Developing, implementing and monitoring process KPIs
Continuous improvement of processes
Your background
A few years’ experience related to material process flows and / or logistics is essential
You possess knowledge of quality management and processes (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, 8D, Kaizen)
Proven experience in ERP/WMS systems. SAP experience being an advantage
Established skills in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) are required
Proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving is essential
You are fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in engineering or a suitable commercial education
Familiarity with manufacturing processes is considered an asset
Proficiency in advanced MS Office Tools (PowerBI, Power Automate, Sharepoint etc.) is a plus
