Key responsibilities


In this role, you will be part of a self-organized, agile, and cross-functional team within the Control & IO Firmware area. You will take responsibility for functional and integration testing with a focus on embedded software and ensure that all implemented tests guarantee system conformity, especially for fieldbus interfaces. Reporting to the Head of Control & IO Firmware in Minden (Westf.), Germany, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Distributed Control Systems to our customers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Plan and execute functional and integration tests to ensure product quality and reliability

  • Create test specifications based on a thorough understanding of the system under test and its requirements

  • Design, set up, and maintain test systems and environments with a focus on achieving a high level of automation

  • Analyze test results and contribute to root cause analysis in close collaboration with the team

  • Prepare test reports and maintain test documentation

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification

  • At least three years of professional experience in embedded software testing

  • Experience with fieldbus systems, preferably PROFINET and OPC UA

  • Solid knowledge of test and analysis tools as well as virtualization software

  • Business-fluent English skills and fluent German skills in spoken and written communication

  • Strong team spirit, a solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills
