Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a self-organized, agile, and cross-functional team within the Control & IO Firmware area. You will take responsibility for functional and integration testing with a focus on embedded software and ensure that all implemented tests guarantee system conformity, especially for fieldbus interfaces. Reporting to the Head of Control & IO Firmware in Minden (Westf.), Germany, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Distributed Control Systems to our customers.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Plan and execute functional and integration tests to ensure product quality and reliability
Create test specifications based on a thorough understanding of the system under test and its requirements
Design, set up, and maintain test systems and environments with a focus on achieving a high level of automation
Analyze test results and contribute to root cause analysis in close collaboration with the team
Prepare test reports and maintain test documentation
Qualifications for the role
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
At least three years of professional experience in embedded software testing
Experience with fieldbus systems, preferably PROFINET and OPC UA
Solid knowledge of test and analysis tools as well as virtualization software
Business-fluent English skills and fluent German skills in spoken and written communication
Strong team spirit, a solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills
