Key responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.

The work model for the role is: hybrid / #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Business Lines Industries, Consumer Industry and a special focus to Service Robotics in DACH region. Main stakeholders are partners and customers focusing on Lab Automation in Life Science, Healthcare and Consumer Industry.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Assuming overall responsibility for project execution from sales hand over throughout to transfer to Customer Service.

  • Leading local and global project teams, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.

  • Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.

  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.

  • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

  • Act as the primary interface with customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with requirements, expectations, and feedback.

  • Coordinate with external partners, system integrators, and internal stakeholders on local and global level to ensure seamless integration of project deliverables.

  • Translate customer use cases and application requirements into project specifications and automation solutions.

  • Preparing supplementary offers and supporting Bid and Proposal Managers in creating proposals for new systems.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly skilled in automation engineering tools and methodologies and have strong exposure to the clinical and/or analytical diagnostics market.

  • You have several years of experience in holding functional responsibility for automation projects, ideally within a laboratory environment, including the specification and implementation of complex automated workflows; a PMP or comparable project management certification is considered a plus.

  • You possess in-depth industry, process, and regulatory knowledge within clinical and/or analytical diagnostics; experience with MDR/IVDR and GMP guidelines is considered beneficial.

  • You demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and a structured, methodical working style when specifying complex processes and automation solutions.

  • You are passionate about driving the introduction of new technologies and demonstrate empathy and excellent communication skills when working with stakeholders in environments with a low degree of automation.

  • You hold a completed degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Alternatively, you have a degree in Business Administration combined with proven experience in project execution within plant or machinery engineering.

  • You are at ease communicating professionally in German and English.

  • You hold all required work permits to work in the job location.
