Site Controller (Sr Finance Manager) (m/f/d) Wiesbaden, Manufacturing Operations – Transfusion Medicine, Abbott GmbH in Wiesbaden.

The Wiesbaden Operations Site Controller serves as the key financial leader for the manufacturing site providing support and direction to the site leadership team.

The role provides business and financial counsel to management and is supporting leadership in the establishment of business goals, strategies, priorities and tactics as well as assessing the financial impacts and resources required to meet financial commitments.

Main Responsibilities:

The Site Controller is responsible for the financial leadership for a plant of 600+ employees and sets the financial direction for the manufacturing site in collaboration with the Site Director and his leadership team.

  • The position’s functional responsibilities influence Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Site Supply Chain through budget support, financial training, financial recommendations and general business guidance. The role is responsible for reporting and partnering with all functions to achieve Gross Margin Improvement program targets and overall site financial performance.
  • The Controller manages and oversees the preparation of Plan, Long range plan and rolling Latest Best Estimates (rLBEs) development as well as the presentation to global management. This includes annual standard cost setting for the products manufactured at the plant.
  • The site Finance team also supports Product launch and other key strategic programs with financial planning, reporting and analytics including detailed scenario financials builds.
  • The Controller ensures that adequate financial and system controls are established and maintained consistent with Abbott policies and procedures. She / He also promotes and maintains compliance with all other applicable Abbott policies and procedures and external requirements, including Abbott’s Quality System.
  • The role leads and develops team of six employees focusing on team development, coaching, counseling, training, and succession planning as well as encouraging an atmosphere of inclusion, involvement, open communication, and effective teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8+ years of progressive experience in Finance / Accounting and including personnel leadership
  • Experience in Operations / Supply Chain environment including financial reporting, cost accounting and project accounting preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships at every level of the organization and to work in a matrix structure and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • fluent in German and English
