PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the International Manufacturing Controller whilst reporting to the ANSC International Senior Finance Manager.

The Senior Financial Analyst acts as a financial partner by providing support across Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain (ANSC) International Mfg. Operations located across Europe and Asia (7 Sites). This position provides the individual an excellent opportunity to interface with all levels of management (including senior management) both in Operations and Finance and gain exposure to a variety of operational issues, processes, and projects. The role affords an ideal opportunity to broaden their experience and gain high visibility within the organization.

The role is responsible for providing financial analysis and support on all aspects of Abbott International Manufacturing including but not limited to Weekly Absorption reporting, Monthly Flash, S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning), M&P (Margin and Profitability) and Regional MBR reporting. Quarterly LBEs (Latest Best Estimates) and Annual Standard Setting Plans.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

· Working with plant controllers/staff and International Mfg Controller, responsible to lead pulling together overall Intl. Mfg. quarterly LBE’s, related supporting analytics as well as helping develop and deliver concise/insightful presentation of key business drivers. Participate in plant reviews as well as overall presentations to leadership.

· Responsible in leading and providing overall support for Intl. Mfg. operations monthly actual results, monthly business review analytics, as well as coordinate financial impacts of monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) volume dynamics and overall mfg. volume analytics in LBEs/Plans/ad hoc including weekly absorption metrics.

· Collate monthly CIP / M&P actuals with comparison to LBE and Plan and working with Site OpEx / Finance teams.

· Standards process/Plan- supporting overall process including cost change dynamics as well as other analytics. If feasible, supplement plant finance team to further understanding of standards process and as a development opportunity.

· Help drive financial process improvements, standardization across both Intl. Mfg. operations as well as overall ANSC and North America Mfg counterparts, as appropriate.

· Further responsibilities of the position include standard cost analysis & cost estimates on new products, financial support for ANSC strategic initiatives/projects, ANSC financial forecast and modelling for LBEs, development of financial support for Plans and business reviews.

· Other ad hoc/special projects, leadership requests for both INTL MFG Operations and ANSC division, etc. as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s Degree: Required in Accounting/Finance.

· Certification: CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA or local equivalent

· A minimum of 3-5 years combined finance experience in the following areas: FP&A, General Accounting, Cost Accounting and/or Corporate Finance.

KEY SKILLS

· This role interacts with all levels of management including senior management. Candidates must possess strong analytical, communication (oral and written) and organizational skills plus have an ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines; must be able to handle multiple competing priorities. To be truly effective, the role must be able to operate independently with significant interfaces across groups in operations and finance functions and be able to balance demands from a variety of customers.

· Advanced use of Microsoft Office Applications, with a specific focus on Excel, working knowledge of SAP/Symphony, HFM and Host Analytics Applications and Data Analytics tools such as Power BI / Alteryx preferred.

Location: ANSC Sligo, Ireland.

Candidates could also be based at any ANSC Manufacturing site in Europe (Zwolle, Netherlands, Granada, Spain or Cootehill, Ireland).
