The Opportunity

We have an immediate opportunity for a Jr. Treasury Analyst in our Abbott Park, IL location.

As the Jr. Treasury Analyst you’ll be responsible for fund transfers, assisting with daily cash management, processing journal entries, month end reporting, co-managing bank account database and assist with investment management.

What You’ll Work On

  • Assist with daily cash management process. Activities include generating daily reports from bank portals, reconciling of daily cash & consolidation of daily cash reports for review.

  • Assist with investment management process

  • Manage investment & foreign exchange letter process

  • Co-manage & maintain Abbott’s bank account database by working with Area Treasurers to reconcile all bank accounts & bank account signers globally.

  • Prepare monthly counterparty risk report.

  • Prepare & post monthly exchange rate schedule utilized by Abbott affiliates & divisions.

  • Process daily journal entries

  • Process daily wire transfers & ACH payments

  • Setup & maintain all wire transfer & ACH templates.

  • Investigate and resolve any internal and external payment inquiries.

  • Assist with month-end close process.

  • Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley & audit activities.

  • Assist management with acquisition, integration, divestiture and other business strategic initiatives.

  • Manage portfolio of custody paying agents & escrow accounts.

  • Serve as a backup to Corporate Treasury team members.

  • Maintain comprehensive business process procedures.

  • Drive for continuous process improvements.

  • Assist management with ad-hoc projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance required.

  • Experience in Corporate Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Finance or Commercial/Investment Banking

  • Effectively manage projects from start to finish (organized and detail-oriented)

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with internal and external parties at various levels

  • Collaborate well in a team environment

  • Attention to detail with a propensity for continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Finance/Accounting experience is preferred

  • Experience with MS Office, SAP Treasury/TMS, Power BI, database management and Bloomberg.

The base pay for this position is $50,000.00 – $100,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
