The Opportunity

This position works out of our Zona Franca Coyol Alajuela, Building B31 location in the Vascular Division.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervises the maintenance technicians and all the activities executed by then, providing technical support to equipment utilized in manufacturing and supporting areas to achive established maintenance and production metrics/goals. Also is responsible of provide support to other Maintenance, ME and QE engineers in all activities related to Maintenance and Maintenance Technicians.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate, divisional and site policies and procedures.

• Responsible to supervises maintenance technicians and all the activities executed by them.

• Responsible of all the activities related to Maintenance Technicians on Kronos, Maximo, WD and other systems, including payment, performance evaluation, development plans, disciplinary actions, Maintains personnel records (e.g., work schedules, vacation schedules, leaves) and makes or directs modifications in the database to reflect actual changes, others.

• Responsible of develops work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources.

• Responsible of monitors daily work operations and provides direction to predominantly nonexempt and entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals.

• Responsible to responds to complaints on equipment and work orders (DM, PM and all WOs types), and create improvement plans and implements projects to improve the maintenance area and metrics/goals.

• Responsible to procures needed equipment (including spare equipment), supplies and spare parts.

• Responsible to handle Maintenance Technicians HC, OT, external services and spares parts, and implement controls to meet department budget.

Administrative Shift [from 8am to 5:00pm]

This is an On Site position

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree: electronic, electric, maintenance mechanical, Industrial Engineering

• 5 years of experience in technical people management is required, preferred in medical devices companies.

• Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Preferred Qualifications

• High Equipment Technical knowledge required.

• Lean and Six Sigma knowledge/certification as a plus, as example: Yellow or Green Belt, TPM, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Root cause analysis, others.

• Maintenance metrics knowledge required, as example: equipment availability, MTBF, MTBR, etc.

• CAB/CAD knowledge/certification, including SW and Autocad as a plus.

• Project Management knowledge/certification as a plus.

• PLCs knowledge/training as a plus.

• Statistical techniques knowledge as a plus.

• High leadership, influence, ownership, capacity to analyze data, decision making and planning/organization required.
