THE POSITION:

This position serves as primary business leader for Abbott Point-of-Care in Philippines/Thailand. Manage POCT business. Establish and execute short-term and long-term strategies to drive market leadership across all product groups. Achieve revenue and profit targets. Foster strong relationships with key decision makers within Indonesia and Malaysia market, including customers, distributors, key government agencies, industry groups, and others. Develop strong organizational culture and infrastructure to support long-term success.

Core Job Responsibilities

Define actions to build region growth to Plan targets and by-country targets (Resource, product gaps, and distributor strategy).

  • Define and execute on Thailand strategy including targeting areas such as: customer focus segments , build and launch KOL engagement / management program, and distributor expansion / realignment / management
  • Collaborate with Abbott regional colleagues to expand reach and leverage existing business
  • Provides input to the Distributor Management strategic plan and has budget/forecast allocation for the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure promotional budgets are used effectively in accordance with local laws and Abbott Compliance and OEC regulations.
  • Execute the plan: set KPIs, priorities and measurement / performance systems, manage resources, and make adjustments
  • Successfully interact with and influence a variety of external stakeholders (governments, regulatory agencies, associations, etc); builds and sustains Abbott’s reputation
  • Develop strong commercial relationships, gives sound marketing, product and strategic advice to our partners in order to grow market share and sales in the markets.
  • Navigate complex and changing compliance and regulatory environments; actively influence relationships with regulatory/compliance entities
  • Gathers information on the market, the competition, customers; needs and other situations and passes on to Region Director.

  • Driving continual growth in both commercial and financial goals;
  • Works on highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of multiple factors

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required;

Minimum Experience/Training Required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical device / healthcare industries.
  • Experience in the above defined markets will be preferred.
  • Proven track record in gaining market share through understanding of local market issues and development of targeted value proposition
