Purpose Statement:

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including supporting of manufacturing lines (equipment and personnel), root causing nonconforming product, and monitoring line performance relative to goals. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes Quality Systems Registrars (QSR) and International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Standards.

2. Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.
3. Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.
4. Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.
5. Evaluates operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.
6. Certifies manufacturing associates in the production processes.
7. Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.

Education & Job Skills:

1. (Experience/Education) National Framework of Qualifications level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline. 2+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

2. (Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Applies broad knowledge of general technical concepts and practices and a general understanding of product or systems fundamentals. Utilises increased knowledge of numerical and statistical data and computer software programs to resolve non-
routine/moderately complex problems. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.

3. (Cognitive Skills) Performs non-routine to moderately complex technical assignments using standard methods and sequences. Performs set-up, testing, repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or
product. Makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed. Assignments require broad judgment in
troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.
4. (Planning/Organisation) Plans, organises, and prioritises own
daily work routine to meet established schedule.
5. (Decision Making/Impact) Solves a variety of problems of
limited to moderate scope and complexity requiring basic
interpretation of defined procedures and practices. Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents.
6. (Supervision Received) General supervision. Receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new
assignments.
