The Opportunity
This position works out of our Zona Franca Coyol Alajuela, Building B44 location in the Electrophysiology Division.
Under direct supervision from the Facilities Manager, performs a variety or project management assignments which include project activities planning, project execution coordination, budget, scope, schedule and quality control for building expansions and retrofits. These projects are directly related to the business and Facilities engineering department strategies on short and long term.
What You’ll Do
- Interact with external and internal clients on the scope of management and execution of projects related to the campus infrastructure for knowing and complying with the businesses and their necessities and expectations.
- Project planning and execution, budget, scope, schedule and quality control of projects related to the campus infrastructure and its necessities.
- Applies methodologies so the campus and facilities projects can be done on time and at the best cost possible.
- Report the results by means of metrics as established by our clients, management and business expectations.
- Supervise and perform projects related to the continuous improvement of our campus existing facilities and utilities.
- Explore and identify improvements to our existing facilities in order to comply with both internal clients and government authorities
- Participates as a liaison between outside contractors, government and regulatory agencies and the engineering department.
- Support global strategies to achieve sustainability global goals. • Support the EHS programs. • Support EMS and Energy Management System (EnMS) Programs and Initiatives related with Environmental, Health, Safety.
Administrative Shift [from 8am to 5:00pm]
This is an On Site position
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, electrical electromechanical or civil engineering.
5 years of experience in medical device or related industries, experience new construction and renovation projects on a manufacturing process environment.
Solid experience in HVAC, air compressors, potable water, RODI systems, Fire Protection and electrical equipment installation supervision.
Solid Experience in cleanrooms design and construction, including electromechanical, civil and architectural design.
Good knowledge of OSHA Standards & cGMP’s.
Knowledge in the following software: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish) / Required
Preferred Qualifications
A post degree on project management is a plus.
Internal and/or external experience in a regulated industry (Pharmaceutical or Medical Device) is a plus.
Commissioning process experience is a plus.
