The Opportunity
This position works out of our Westfield, Indiana location in the Structural Heart division.
Structural Heart Business Mission: why we exist
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
- Professional individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in equipment, fixtures and tooling for medical device manufacturing processes.
- Ability to procure, assemble and execute qualifications for manufacturing equipment, manufacturing fixtures and component inspection fixtures. The individual will be report to the Northpoint facility.
What You’ll Work On
- As the Specialist in the Medical Device Industry, the individual must be considered as highly experienced and knowledgeable resource within the organization in procuring, implementing and maintaining equipment, fixtures and tooling for new products transferred to the Westfield, Indiana Site (Northpoint).
- Support procurement of equipment and tooling required for NPT new product manufacturing lines and Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA)
- Manage equipment spreadsheet and dashboard preparation for weekly core team report out.
- Work with external vendors to ensure timely receipt of deliverables in preparation for product qualification.
- Support qualification of equipment as needed
- Coordinate and support modification, optimizations and redesigns to existing equipment and tooling
- Services, troubleshoots, and solves engineering problems with equipment already in operation.
- Drive document changes and drawing revisions
- Ability to understand equipment and tooling drawings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to collaborate with external vendors, NPT equipment team leads and cross functional team members
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree (± 13 years)
- Minimum of 7 years within the equipment department
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Preferred
- Masters Preferred, Undergrad Acceptable
- Biomedical Engineering Acceptable
- Proficient in the following software systems:
- Xiam (Procurement System – on the job training)
- CAD (Equipment and Tooling Models Software)
- Maximo (Equipment inventory system for work orders/ quals/ status – on the job training)
- Excel
- Viewpoint and windchill (Document Repository – on the job training)

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
