The Opportunity

Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for an Operations Excellence(Op Ex) and Integrated Business Planning(IBP) Manager.

The Op Ex and IBP Manager will have a high level of independence to define, coordinate, integrate, and drive global demand planning activities associated with the entire planning lifecycle. They will report and develop processes mapping for end-to-end supply chain and hand-offs with critical departments like (finance, commercial, regulatory, quality, customs, project management) across the division. Additionally, they will participate in and coordinate the global demand planning gross margin improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Lead the Gross Margin Program and IBP for the department, from end to end, by tracking project status and executive reporting monthly.
  • Responsible for the design and process mapping of all demand planning processes related to key areas like (Organic Execution Model / rLBE’s “rolling latest best estimates” / Standard Setting process / Critical Roles for On-boarding / Commercial, Regulatory, Operations, Quality hand-offs)
  • Responsible for inventory reporting and Cash Flow targets for Division estimates
  • Expected to drive the Business Excellence Lean culture throughout the department, through a consistent DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control process.
  • Provide the forum to facilitate communications, problem solving, and goal alignment between all Global Demand Planning areas. Establish Quarterly review cycles with management.
  • Work with functional leadership to determine and ensure appropriate resource availability across key projects and assignments.
  • Responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the organization’s supply chain.
  • Activities may include analysis, planning and forecasting in the areas of production, materials handling, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation and distribution.
  • Serves as liaison with the commercial organization to assure customer expectations are met and relationships are maintained.
  • Hold management reviews with Senior division management to communicate program development and schedule status.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • Experience in the areas of finance, supply chain, technical discipline, sales and/or marketing.
  • Ability to collect information from multiple sources, sort through, integrate, and resolve often conflicting requirements, and drive an organization through the various issues to result in a successful product launch.
  • Proven track record of analyzing and interpreting complex data
  • Strong stakeholder management

The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
