Primary Objective

Support the Area Finance Director in Planning, Controlling and Reporting. Development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems, preparing regional submissions for planning purposes, analysis and interpretation of trends requiring management's attention, the preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, and the presentation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management. Driving Profit maximization initiatives and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the financials. This role is also responsible for providing leadership to Southeast Asia and Korea finance teams

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Area Finance Director in Planning, Controlling and Reporting activities for the Area.
  • Lead and coordinate all scheduled planning activities across the region, including the creation and distribution of templates, schedules, instructions, and calendars.
  • Consolidate and review country-level financial submissions for Plan, Update, and Latest Best Estimate (LBE), ensuring timely and accurate Area-level reporting.
  • Manage month-end close processes and reporting for APAC, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Prepare and present financial and management reports, offering strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Partner with Area functional leaders to budget for Area expenses and special projects.
  • Drive profit maximization initiatives and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and analysis, fostering a culture of innovation and change.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Rest of APAC finance region, ensuring alignment with regional goals.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics, including:
    • AR and AP management
    • Expense optimization
    • Credit control and securitization of receivables
    • Pricing controls to manage ASP and margin
    • Distributor/channel inventory control

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (CA, CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in regional or multinational finance roles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage finance and non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and initiative.
  • Capable of operating independently under minimal supervision and tight deadlines
  • Role involves less than 20% of travel within Asia Pacific
