MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
This role is responsible to act as the Subject Matter Expert for RM-PM Planning, Purchase & Engineering Stores, Inventory Management, Compliance Documentation, Relationship Management, Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. RM-PM Planning, Purchase & Engg. Stores –
• Responsible for Material Planning, by running the Material Requirement Planning and making call off purchase orders for Abbott Nutrition's domestic manufacturing plants.
• Planning and production scheduling and working closely with center purchase and planning team for materials / contracts/ services planning.
• Responsible for Detailed Materials scheduling in alignment with Sales requirements & manufacturing Capacities at Plant & 3P facility.
• Responsible for Raw materials scheduling to ensure non-stop supply to manufacturing at plant.
• Responsible for writing Purchase Orders as defined by Purchase Policies for commodities Supplied to Abbott Nutrition's domestic manufacturing plants and third-party manufacturers.
• Act as the liaison between Abbott Accounts Payable and suppliers on invoicing issues related to price charged and quantity delivered, and on receiving proper credit for returned materials.
• Working closely with Plant QA, R&D and Suppliers on quality related issue with materials and mitigating material risk to ensure right quality material is accepted.
• Liaising with Imports team and clearing agent for imports, ensuring all documentations are appropriate and submit to ensure smooth clearance at ports.
• Ensure governance by conducting weekly RM-PM coverage meeting with stakeholders.
• Ensure Engineering Stores operation are done effectively & stock are maintained as per the norms.
2 Inventory Management –
• To keep a track for plant inventories, material coverage, safety stocks for all materials.
• Responsible for stock norm settings for Raw Materials deriving warehouse capacity requirements at Plant.
• Monitors and tracks cleaning & environment conditions of storage facility.
• Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
• Target zero write-off of RM-PM due to planning error.
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
• Manage inventory at external warehouse (RM Storage)
• Monitor non & slow-moving RM-PM to avoid any potential wrote-off
• Engage stakeholders to dispose rejected RM lying in warehouses
3. Compliance & Documentation –
• Zero loss workday case & ensure targeted nos. BBS observation & unsafe condition reporting
• Ensure SOP are in place (write what we do & do what is written)
• No critical & repeat observation in Quality & Financial (Internal) audits
• No past due training, past due CAPAs and past due CR tasks, No extension of any CAPAs /CR tasks. Completion of Gemba observation Points on time.
• Ensures online documentation (i.e. equipment logs, batch records, environmental monitoring etc.) correctness of data, compliance to SOPs, Safety and GMP.
• Monitors and ensures all the areas and equipment are maintained as per defined procedures for all time readiness for audits by internal/external agencies.
4. Relationship Management
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required, avoiding disruption to production.
• Generate and communicate supplier material delivery schedules and forecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time
• Develop and implement processes and work with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives
5. Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence –
• Ensure daily DMS process is in place, identify regular Kaizens in warehouse, Engg. Stores, & external warehouse scorecard as per the frequency.
QUALIFICATIONS
. Graduate / Postgraduate (MBA in Supply Chain will be preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in Managing Material Planning, Purchase, Warehousing operations in FMCG / Pharmaceutical company.
• GMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice), GDP (Good Distribution Practices), Logistics (e.g. Mode of transport, CFT - volume/Weight calculation, contract terms & conditions, insurance knowhow - claim, process, etc.), Documentation knowledge (like packing list, redocumentation, advanced), customs knowledge (e.g.: NoCs from departments, CHA handling) other guidelines.
