The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Vascular division that provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain all facilities critical systems at the highest reliability to support operations needs and in compliance with Quality and Regulatory requirements.
• Provide Project Management Leadership and assists with the creation of the one (1) year and five (5) year Capital facilities projects list.
• Develop and review design and documents changes (blueprints, technical specifications, PM routines etc.) for all facilities systems. Ensure correct preventative maintenance plans are in place for new and/or existing equipment.
• Provide cost estimates and project coordination of assigned facilities and maintenance improvements.
• Support on the continues improvement of the maintenance programs for building and facilities systems such as evaluating maintenance alternatives, general facilities preventative maintenance and recommends corrective actions.
• Supervise and perform projects related to the continuous improvement of our site existing facilities and utilities. Support energy saving programs.
• Supervise and coordinate the installation or repairs of electrical, mechanical and architectural systems throughout the facility to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Trains staff on new equipment and systems as required.
• Resolve technical issues in an effective & timely manner to support operations
• Detailed understanding of all clean room HVAC, Water system, Utilities and Electrical systems to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Support BMS and Energy Management Programs and Initiatives related with Environmental, Health, Safety. Lead Facilities Technicians as part of the day to day operation.

Shift: Admin (Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)

On-Site position

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electromechanical or Maintenance Engineering.
• 5 - 7 years, internal and/or external experience in a regulated industry (Pharmaceutical, electronics or Medical Device) desired.
• Solid Experience on power distribution, medium and low voltage, emergency power, fire detection and protection systems; and Electrical equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of OSHA and ISO standards, & GMP’s.
• Knowledge in the following software: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
• Good knowledge of OSHA Standards & GMP’s.
• Advanced commands of English

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Strategic Planning, Production Engineering, Project Management or related fields, desired.
