ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary of the Role
The Event Assistant plays a key role in supporting both internal and external event operations and brand marketing administration. This position offers opportunities to collaborate across teams, leverage individual strengths, and grow within internal projects. The role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys logistics, and is passionate about event management in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.
Core Job Responsibilities
EVENT MANAGEMENT
Support planning and execution of internal events such as Cycle Meetings, Mid-Year Reviews, Kick-off Meetings, and Team Building activities.
Assist in organizing external events for HCPs and pharmacies in collaboration with the Marketing team.
Coordinate third-party congress participation, including sponsorships, educational programs, and donation initiatives.
Facilitate online events such as webinars and webcasts.
Manage logistics and execution for other ad-hoc events as assigned.
BRAND MARKETING ADMINISTRATION
Arrange travel logistics for Abbott staff attending field visits and training.
Support production, delivery, and tracking of branding materials.
Manage event-related costs and payment processes in compliance with internal policies.
Ensure adherence to Abbott’s ethical standards and internal processes through regular training and application in event execution.
MINIMUM BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in event management and execution.
Experience working with event or activation agencies is a plus.
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
