The Opportunity

The position of Commercial Operations Specialist is within our Toxicology business unit located in our Kansas City, MO or Lake Forest, IL office. This position is responsible for leading and supporting multiple operational, tactical and strategic elements within the Workplace Services Commercial organization. The role will work closely to support Commercial leaders and cross-functional teams to organize and facilitate multifaceted processes, report creation, communications and ensure project delivery excellence. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, communications and prioritization skills. They should also have a proven knowledge base of employer drug and occupational health testing solutions and experience supporting sales organizations.

What You'll Do

  • Identify process improvement opportunities that will result in project delivery optimization efficiencies and streamlined process execution.
  • Superior analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, in order to apply sound judgment to the most impactful project delivery processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a range of people, and ability to collaborate across functional areas of the organization.
  • Draft project management delivery metrics and key performance indicators to measure delivery effectiveness and uncover areas with opportunities to improvement delivery processes.
  • Apply good judgment to align project delivery processes against business unit strategy and priorities.
  • Design, track and keep up a clear roadmap of pending, inflight and delivered initiatives.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of project delivery concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to help track and status a wide variety of projects.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning and project management expertise.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability.
  • Apply affective PowerPoint deck creation abilities in the creation and maintenance of Progress/Status Reports, Delivery Scope Presentations and Project Delivery Resource Training.
  • Create, maintain, refine and utilize project planning templates.
  • Deploy the ability to multitask and flex between a variety of subjects and project scope areas.
  • Outstanding communication skills, and the ability to effectively tailor communications to Executives, Team Members, Business Partners, and Customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in related field.
  • Experience as a member of or as a lead SME on cross functional projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced skills in crafting impactful presentations using tools like PowerPoint
  • Strong workflow and process documentation creation skills
  • Experience in developing and applying standard project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and constructively communicate across functional area’s
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions or recommendations.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with a focus on prioritized and detailed work
  • Familiar with Drug Screening Industry and Collection Site / Clinic environment(s) experience
  • Contract Management

The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
