The Opportunity


For our Abbott Endovascular Division we are currently looking for a well-skilled, motivated person to join our clinical team in Poland as a Clinical Specialist, Endovascular. This is a fully field-based role, requiring daily traveling across assigned territory (Eastern Poland). Candidates’ preferred home location: Warsaw.

The Clinical Specialist Endovascular (Vessel Closure) supports Abbott Vascular customers by delivering best‑in‑class clinical training, case support, and follow‑up activities. The role plays a key part in achieving clinical strategic objectives across assigned accounts, with a focus on vessel closure procedures.

The Clinical Specialist provides expert clinical guidance and product education in line with strategic and operational goals for designated customers.

The role requires building strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and procurement teams, across a variety of hospital environments. Success depends on adaptability, collaboration, and responsiveness to changing customer needs.

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for executing the regional vessel closure business strategy as defined with the direct Manager, ensuring alignment with Abbott’s overall business priorities.

What You'll do:

  • Provide clinical support for physicians and other healthcare professionals during procedures, ensuring safe and effective use of Abbott’s vessel closure technologies.
  • Deliver product presentations and respond to technical inquiries from hospital staff, ensuring a strong understanding of device features, benefits, and correct use.
  • Conduct in‑depth market and therapy‑penetration analysis, including key account performance, identifying opportunities for growth and increased therapy adoption.
  • Support clinical KOL (Key Opinion Leader) management, fostering strong clinical advocacy and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the delivery and coordination of clinical training programs for both employees and customers, including competency sign‑off.
  • Provide field support to the Endovascular Sales Manager, including assistance outside the assigned territory when required.
  • Represent Abbott at local and international congresses and medical meetings, supporting scientific education and customer engagement.
  • Complete administrative duties in a timely manner, including customer documentation (Oneforce), rolling forecasts, monthly business summaries, expense reports, and other required submissions in alignment with divisional standards.
  • Manage samples, demo devices, and promotional materials according to Abbott protocols and compliance guidelines.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date technical and clinical knowledge of Abbott’s current and emerging therapies, relevant clinical studies, and the broader healthcare market landscape.
  • Support product launches and implementation plans, contributing to customer engagement strategies and therapy adoption.
  • Collaborate proactively with colleagues, sharing best practices, clinical insights, and technical expertise to strengthen team capabilities and add scientific and commercial value.
  • Adhere to clinical practices and standing orders required by healthcare establishments when providing procedure support.
  • Uphold all clinical, technical, and ethical standards, complying with Abbott quality requirements, regulatory guidelines, and the Code of Business Conduct.

Required qualifications and background:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Life Sciences–related field.
  • Experience in a Cath Lab clinical role or a healthcare Clinical Specialist position.
  • Strong understanding of the Polish healthcare market and hospital structures (preferred).
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology (preferred).
  • Native Polish speaker; very good command of English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80% of the time).
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
  • High level of professionalism and strong ethical standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of customers and cross‑functional colleagues.
  • Proficiency with PC tools and presentation software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email platforms.
  • Driving license B.
