In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
This facility will offer 1,200 local new jobs and will be the first health manufacturing facility in Querétaro (pioneers for healthcare Hub).

The Opportunity
The manufacturing engineer is focused on developing and implementing effective and efficient manufacturing processes and methods aligned with quality standards. This position contributes to the commercial objectives of the business by carrying out the installation and validation of assembly lines, the implementation of process documentation, and the acquisition and administration of the equipment and tools necessary for the manufacture of products.
Main Responsibilities
- Installation and validation of manufacturing processes
- Development and administration of manufacturing process documentation
- Acquisition, purchase and administration of manufacturing equipment and tools
- Investigation and resolution of manufacturing process and equipment problems
- Continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and increase efficiency in manufacturing lines
- Training for direct labors in basic equipment problem solving others related.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 5 - 7 years of professional experience in the same rol.
- Ability to clearly articulate manufacturing technical concepts in both English and Spanish
- Experience in problem solving, validations, continuous improvement, statistical analysis, industry standards like ISO9001, GMP´s, FDA.
Other Qualifications
• DMAIC, PDCA,8D´s (preferred)
• Lean Manufacturing (preferred)
