The Opportunity

This Senior Financial Analyst FP&A position on the Transfusion Medicine Operations & QA headquarters team is a key financial support role for the Global Supply Chain organization and our Operations Strategy team, including driving support for major multi-year and multi-site strategic programs. The individual will work directly with management and key project personnel across the two TM plant locations, two distribution centers, and coordinate with the TM R&D team along with several other CoreDx organizations. The position will have excellent exposure to both Division Finance and Operations leadership personnel at all levels.

What You’ll Work On

  • Partner and counsel to the Operations Strategy team at Transfusion Medicine supporting a full range of controller-ship responsibilities.

  • Planning, analysis and reporting vs benchmarks for TM’s Global Supply Chain organization, including Inventory and SRV forecasting as well as partnering with the Demand Planners of the two DCs (one being international).

  • Forecast and report Capital and project expense for all of TM including a highly visible multi-site and multi-year project, Finance partner for the Engineering team for all TM Capital projects.

  • Perform project related activities for financial planning, analysis and reporting vs benchmarks (Plan, LBE and OEM).

  • Collaborate with the Plant Controllers, R&D Finance, Division Engineering and Project Accounting teams to ensure accurate forecasting for Capital cash flow and project expense.

  • Complete month-end close activities for the Operations Strategy programs including headcount tracking, updating reporting packages and presenting monthly dashboards.

  • Partner with Division Engineering and Operations Strategy, providing financial support to the business for all financial aspects including implementation, execution and regular reporting/presenting to the Operations Strategy team.

  • Initiate and implement process improvements, develop recommendations, propose and implement solutions, consider business needs, analyze and interpret data and support team objectives.

  • Maintains proper internal controls and compliance with Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor- Finance/Accounting

  • 4 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and influencing skills as position interfaces with various levels across the organization (including senior management) in both finance and operations functions

  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus

  • Knowledge of SAP, experience with TM1 and/or HFM is a plus

The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
