Key Summary of Position:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and implement sales strategy and sales plans in alignment with the company's overall development strategy for China broad market. To leverage a comprehensive knowledge of market insights, customer and industry understanding, financial acumen, and institutional markets, this role will be responsible for directing sales activities, managing customer relationship, maximizing potential revenue in the assigned product segments to consistently deliver sales, margin and market share objectives in China.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement clear business development strategies in China to ensure the achievement of annual targets in sales, margin and market share; Set and develop goals, budgets and strategic sales plans, providing profitable annual sales volume;
- Elevate business performance by identifying opportunities, setting clear priorities and implementing appropriate actions to build upon areas of strength and turn around areas of underachievement;
- Establish sales goals and create incentive programs for regions and sales teams, and be responsible for all sales activities through all the channels (including distributors and key accounts);
- Provide revenue forecasts and sales reports that illustrate sales team’s overall performance against target;
- Conduct business analysis and develop strategies for generating new business/acquiring new customers;
- Identify and prioritize key regions/products for expansion/development
- Develop and maintain KOLs in region; deliver product information and training to customers/end users;
- Allocate sales target and resources by channels and regions;
- Manage, monitor and adjust sales volume, product mix, selling price by monitoring costs, competition and market needs;
- Establish and control budgets for sales promotion expenses;
- Create sales campaigns focused on communicating and nurturing relationships with customers and driving repeat sales;
- Develop team capability to build a strong and professional sales team.
Qualification and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above with education background of biological/clinical medicine/medical examination, or related qualification, MBA will be a plus.
- At least 10 years sales management experience in health care industry (clinical diagnostics industry preferred ), including 3+ years national sales leadership role/commercial leadership role with P&L responsibility is a plus;
- Has proven experience in managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and networking skills, successful experience hiring/onboarding and coaching sales team;
- Strategic thinking with good analytical and planning skills; Proven experience providing sales reports and business insights to the leadership team;
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong inner drive to achieve goals with good problem solving skills
This role will travel frequently to meet with potential clients, customers, partners, dealers and distributors.
