The Opportunity
As a Senior Systems Analyst supporting Abbott’s Medical Device R&D teams, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting systems that enable product development and innovation. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong business partnership, supporting complex Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) environments in a regulated setting.
What You’ll Work On
Administer and support ALM platforms, source code control, CI/CD pipelines, requirements and defect tracking tools, and cloud‑based solutions
Provide hands‑on technical support to Developers, Testers, and Engineers, including high‑touch, one‑on‑one assistance
Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 ServiceNow incident and work order support; partner with vendors for escalated issues
Maintain server and client software updates, monitoring, and application integrations
Configure, test, debug, and implement new and existing business application systems
Create and execute test designs, test cases, and documentation following change‑control processes
Establish and recommend technology standards and system improvements
Maintain accurate documentation for supported applications and platforms
Communicate proactively with business partners, IT teams, and leadership on system capabilities and limitations
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, quality standards, and company policies
Stay current on emerging technologies and advise leadership on opportunities for improvement
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
5+ years of technical IT experience supporting enterprise or R&D systems

Extensive experience with R&D applications and tools, including:
Source control: AccuRev, Bitbucket
CI/CD: Jenkins
Defect tracking: ClearQuest, Jira
Requirements management: DOORS
Code repositories: Nexus
Static analysis: Coverity
Experience administering Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems
Knowledge of R&D hardware and platforms including Windows, Unix/Linux, and Microsoft Azure
Experience integrating and maintaining Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) applications
Strong process knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and leadership
Ability to manage multiple parallel efforts and drive work to completion
Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed, geographically distributed environment
Ability to maintain regular and predictable on‑site attendance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience administering Jira in an internally hosted Azure environment, including plugins such as Configuration Manager for Jira, eazyBI, Structure, and Automation for Jira
Strong background in workflow design, LDAP configurations, system migrations, and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience with tools such as Confluence, OpsHub, Azure, Jenkins, DOORS, and CI/CD integrations
Experience with Secure LDAP, certificates, architectural design, and upgrade planning
Hands‑on scripting experience (Shell, Python, PERL)
Experience performing business process analysis, defining configuration requirements, and developing future‑state workflows
Ability to evaluate feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses and recommend project direction

The base pay for this position is $90,000.00 – $180,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
