The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Vascular division that provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate, divisional and site policies and procedures.
Responsible to analyze maintenance and equipment data and identify critical equipment.
Responsible to perform root cause analysis on critical equipment and identify improvement opportunities or corrections.
Responsible for improvements or corrections on equipment and processes implementation, complying with the corresponding policies/procedures and complying with project plan (time, cost and resources). Also, responsible of coordination with the affected areas.
Responsible of provide support to audits on topics related to equipment and maintenance processes.
Responsible of providing support on exceptions related to equipment and maintenance activities, including execute or provide support to other areas or coworkers on all the exceptions stages and/or subtask completion.
Responsible to achieve department budget and metrics.
Responsible to provide technical support to Maintenance engineers, Supervisors and Technicians. Responsible to provide support to maintenance engineers, supervisors and technicians training and certification process, including update and create procedures, support testing and provide training.
Responsible of review and update maintenance procedures, including EMPs, EQPs, others.
Responsible to provide support on obsolete equipment and spares parts replacement, including identify new technologies, execute validations, others.
Responsible to create reports related to maintenance data and metrics.
Responsible to provide support related to equipment and maintenance activities to NPI, ME, QE, EHS and Operations projects.
Shift: Admin (Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
On-Site position
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electric, Mechanics, Chemistry, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering, or other related technical fields
- 7 years of experience related to equipment troubleshooting, improvements identification and implementation, equipment design and/or equipment maintenance positions, preferred in medical devices companies.
- Knowledge of computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint). Experience developing calibration test methods on different magnitudes.
- B2+ English level
