The Opportunity

This position works out of our Plymouth, MN location in the Electrophysiology division.

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Hours: 3:00PM- 1:30AM or 4:00PM-2:30AM (4, 10-hour shifts)

What You’ll Work On

  • Perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, safety checks, installations, and equipment modifications.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, tear down, inspect, and rebuild a wide range of industrial and production equipment.

  • Diagnose and correct PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.

  • Conduct daily tooling and equipment setups; complete equipment changes or modifications and install custom accessories for production.

  • Perform visual inspections, support 5S, and work effectively in a controlled environment.

  • Record all maintenance and repair activities and requisition spare parts, inventory items, and emergency repair materials.

  • Utilize hand tools, micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, multimeters, and other measurement tools.

  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and verbal/written procedures.

  • Identify when external service is required and coordinate repairs with vendors.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

  • Train technicians on new or updated maintenance procedures and respond to technical questions.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Two-year technical vocational training and/or military experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience.

  • Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machines.

The base pay for this position is $23.55 – $47.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
