Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Income Tax Accounting will support all aspects of the income tax provision process, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls compliance & reporting, and other special projects. This key position will work in a fast-paced tax department which values motivated team members who successfully navigate multiple priorities. The Senior Tax Analyst will work closely with other members of the Corporate Tax Department and will have opportunities to assist with various tax projects emphasizing an environment of learning and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of the interim and annual worldwide income tax provision, including the effective tax rate, analysis of tax accounts and uncertain tax positions, journal entries and other supporting schedules.
  • Utilize the Company’s tax provision software for consolidation and tax disclosures.
  • Assist in the review of the foreign income tax accounting packages to ensure that the income tax account balances of foreign subsidiaries are accurately stated and properly classified.
  • Assist in the preparation of U.S. GAAP tax disclosures for SEC Form 10-K and 10-Q reporting.
  • Prepare monthly tax balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the SOX internal controls compliance and reporting, including design, documentation and execution of new tax controls as needed.
  • Assist with tax process improvement initiatives and tax technology implementations
  • Assist tax management on an as needed basis on special projects, planning, research and analysis.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes, relevant FASB pronouncements and internal controls.
  • Broad knowledge of US federal and state tax rules as applicable to a multinational, multistate corporate environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to successfully interact with management and operating personnel within the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and communicate potential tax planning opportunities or exposures to management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities; and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills:
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Knowledge of tax provision software (e.g., OneSource, Longview)
    • Knowledge of HFM and SAP a plus

EDUCATION/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience, Public Accounting or Fortune 500 Corporate Tax experience preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MST a plus
