Job Description

Purpose

Process Support provides a full range of technical support to manufacturing processes. This includes process transition & startup, process improvements, cost reduction projects, process monitoring, process data collection & analysis, operator training, summarization of work orders, evaluation of equipment upgrades and expediting/coordinating product release.

This position is an entry level process support position for non-exempt personnel which will interface directly with the senior process support staff on a daily basis. The level of supervision will be dependent on the individual. The primary purpose for this position is to provide the resources for the day to day execution of the department objectives, primarily focused on product deliveries. The incumbent will interface directly with other process support personnel and management alike, to assure they are effectively utilized in the department initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will work as an individual contributor to enable the manufacture, approval and delivery of products.
  • Provide off-shift coverage on an as-needed basis. Respond quickly and effectively to unexpected issues or changes in schedule and priority.
  • Work with supervision to insure projects are completed in a timely manner. Resolve product issues that may preclude product delivery in a timely manner
  • •Track process yields and cycle times and evaluate trends. Provide timely process input to enable making deliveries on time.
  • Write directions and validations packages and route for approval.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reductions, cycle time and other process improvements. Assist in start-up of new products and/or equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with Quality to assure, Safety, Regulatory, and Environmental personnel to insure that requirements are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. High School diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing related position is required.
  • The incumbent will work closely under the supervision of a senior level process support member. The incumbent will routinely encounter conflicting priorities and issues that need immediate resolution. Due to the dynamic nature of the production schedule, daily work plans will require constant revision to remain consistent with program objectives and customer delivery commitments. This position requires creative solutions to complex issues on a regular basis.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
