Job Description

Primary Job Function:

Gross-to-net sales reporting of $60 Billion rebates/discounts and $34 Billion annual net sales. Quarterly reserve reconciliation of $15+ Billion in rebate and contra-receivable balances. Responsible for related systems/systems issues surrounding sales reporting and reserve reconciliation and analysis.

In addition, the Associate Director, Sales Reporting and Reserve Analysis, will be responsible for supporting internal and external auditor inquiries along with assisting with Balance Sheet forecasts (LBE/PLAN) from Cash Flow perspective.

This position reports to the Director, GTN Accounting US Therapeutics.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing quarterly process of reviewing sales reserve reconciliations and analysis of $15+ Billion in rebate reserves, as well as contra-receivables accounts.
  • Manage returns accounting process including returns validation system Orion.
  • Manage the monthly process of sales close including month/qtr/year end GtN reporting.
  • Monthly interaction with price forecasting, highlighting variances and proposing adjustments.
  • Provide all internal (financial and OEC audit), external, and royalty audit assistance for quarterly/annual reviews and audits.
  • Annually review and document all procedures related to the group.
  • Supervise and develop1-2 direct reports.

Position Accountability/Scope:

  • Coordinate and ensure alignment occur across various pricing teams such as contracting, government, price forecasting and provides critical information for alignment to all levels of management.
  • Operate independently to accomplish the goals and responsibilities of the position, however interaction with finance leadership is critical due to the nature of the role.
  • Serves as an internal Subject Matter Expert on Gross-to-Net Balance Sheet, providing where necessary educating and training business partners.



  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical industry and understanding of pricing / market access, commercialization process is required, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to interact with and support senior level management and to partner effectively and independently in a matrix organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical and content skills.
  • Ability to understand data management and reporting with a basic awareness of the possible technology platforms and solutions that can be leveraged.
  • Ability to synthesize, critically analyze, efficiently communicate large volume of information, develop identify risks, recommendations and implement solutions is required.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication, excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage workload to meet critical deadlines under challenging time constraints.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make decisions without full data set or with ambiguity and uncertainty.


  • BS (required) or Masters (preferred) in Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Health Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or any other related quantitative field.
  • Knowledge of US health care systems and pricing environment is highly desirable.
