Job Description
The Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) JAPAC Regional Security role reports to the ISRM Group Operations team. This role serves the JAPAC region as the primary partner and contact for ISRM support to regional stakeholders including JAPAC Business Technology Solutions (BTS) as well as the Commercial, Research & Development and Operations / Manufacturing businesses.
This role is responsible for supporting information security governance, strategy, policy, awareness, training, risk assessment, third party risk, and regulatory and compliance engagements; and is responsible for instilling a culture of cyber security throughout the region. The role is responsible for engaging with other ISRM global team members as needed to support the goals of the JAPAC region.
This role is expected to respond flexibly and collaboratively to evolving business, regulatory, and threat/cyber requirements. This position will work closely with BTS Leadership, area / regional affiliate leadership, as well as other key stakeholders to drive requirements and help set priorities for cyber security based on acceptable risk tolerance and considering the evolving threat and regulatory landscape, policies and standards, and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Report and track the regional and local security posture of the business areas, continuously looking to enhance the value of such reporting.
- Act as the single point of contact between the international ISRM team and the area BTS or business users.
- Develop, plan, manage and organize the delivery of ISRM services to stakeholders in the region.
- Promote information security awareness throughout the region.
- Provide guidance on information and security risk management topics throughout the region.
- Establish strong relationships with regional stakeholders in the relevant business lines to ensure adequate monitoring, tracking and governance of information security risk.
- Leverage relationships to understand strategic business goals, to ensure information security alignment.
- Support / conduct / manage security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments as needed.
- Act as escalation point of contact for security incidents or investigations occurring in region.
- Support in regional regulatory and compliance engagements as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills – both oral (for interviews / meetings, presentations) and written (for designing and writing engaging reports which communicate findings succinctly and clearly convey the message in a way which is appropriate for the audience).
- Minimum of 7 years experience in Information Technology (Information Security experience a plus).
- Experience working with stakeholders in multiple countries.
- Proven track record of delivering information technology and/or information security services.
- Strong project management, organization, and delivery skills.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and lead area wide initiatives with little supervision.
- Experience working in a different location than supervisor preferred.
- Information technology and /or information security certifications (i.e., CISSP) preferred.
- Fluency in English with additional languages a plus (i.e., Mandarin, Malay, Japanese).
