Job Description

As a BISO Program Manager in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.

We are seeking a seasoned Program Support Administrator for our Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Program. The individual will work with our Lead Business Information Security Officer aiding in the effective management, maturity, and implementation of our business's information security program. Key responsibilities include collaboration with various BTO BISOs, ensuring necessary programs and solutions are in place for a mature architecture to support our BISO Community, and working closely with the ISRM Senior Leadership Team to ensure priority alignment and identifying opportunities for improved communication. This role is key in keeping track of BISO goals & objectives and managing cross-functional initiatives to promote visibility of the BISO role across the organization.

This position can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Lead Business Information Security Officer (BISO) in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our business's information security program.
  • Oversee updates, reviews, and effectiveness of information security practices, disciplines, tracking & reporting for the BISO group ensuring its alignment with business objectives.
  • Work with BISOs in implementing, developing, and maintaining our company's information security program.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with BTO BTS Senior Leaders & aligned BISOs to align on BISO-related activities.
  • Develop a BISO dashboard for senior management that provides relevant data, valuable insights, and contributes to decision-making and organizational success.
  • Lead the projects outlined in the BISO Program transformation proposal, ensuring they are operationalized and maintained.
  • Assist in the development and execution of information security education, awareness, and training programs integrated with BISO-related content.
  • Aid our Lead Business Information Security Officer (BISO) in managing relationships with our stakeholders, including business representatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience OR Masters Degree with 7 years of experience OR PhD with 3 years experience in Information Security
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in information security program management, preferably in an administrative position.
  • Prior experience as a BISO or a similar capacity highly preferred.
  • Profound understanding of information security standards, principles, best practices, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Proficient in project management with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Independent with strong initiative, organizational and time management skillset.
  • Excellent team player with demonstrable ability to operate well in a challenging environment with shifting priorities.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent results orientation.

Required Skills:

  • Familiar with Confluence and JIRA
  • Capable in Program Administrative Support, Communication & Coordination, Documentation & Reporting, Risk and Issue Management, Training and Quality Assurance.
  • Experience in Internal Audit and Compliance disciplines.
