Job Description
This demanding, multi-tasking position requires a high level of organizational skills, managerial oversight, coordination with internal and external parties, and solid time management abilities. The individual must collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external providers to build consensus. The Business Excellence Manager is responsible for the strategic overview of business structures, processes, and opportunities, along with the implementation and management of BE's local systems, processes, and policies to improve the effectiveness, profitability, and growth of the sales and marketing functions. This role is a critical part of the Central Europe and Baltics leadership team, contributing to regional strategies and initiatives.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Multi/Omni channel Management/Customer Segmentation/Profiling
- Drive an omnichannel approach through the integration of distribution, promotion, and communication channels to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Suggest diverse methods of promoting and distributing products based on market knowledge, customer insights, and legislation.
- Continuously evaluate various market and macro-economic data sources to enhance master data breadth and depth.
- Contribute and implement strategies for segmenting and profiling customers, including conducting detailed studies of customer accounts.
- Enhance customer engagement effectiveness through multiple channels.
People Management
- Lead and manage a Business Analyst, providing direction, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance working relationship.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure alignment of the Business Analyst's work with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
Brand Excellence
- Contribute to brand management and growth by collaborating with the Marketing team, sharing insights from different activities and channels to strengthen brand awareness and sales results.
Sales Force Effectiveness
- Drive local SFE initiatives, track and manage sales force performance, and drive corrective actions for relevant KPIs.
- Conduct territory alignment initiatives, ensuring optimal sales force size and structure across all business lines.
- Implement capability strategies for future portfolio needs and drive the implementation of alternate go-to-market models.
- Collaborate with marketing to research, develop, and define strategies to profile, segment, and target customers.
- Manage the implementation of projects, identify best practices, and measure the success of approaches.
- Work with the Country Manager to ensure sales force efforts are targeted at the highest value customers aligned with business strategy.
- Collaborate with sales management to ensure effective resource deployment.
- Manage local SIP (Sales Incentive Plan) policies and structures, ensuring alignment with company principles and continuous SIP health evaluation.
- Oversee sales bonus calculations and the administration of centrally defined bonus payments.
- Ensure correct bonus payouts, manage incentive programs, and provide relevant data for regional review.
Commercial Policies & Promotional Operations
- Manage commercial policies to ensure consistency and compliance with regional and global standards.
- Oversee commercial offers and promotions including the creation and analysis of business cases, stakeholder briefs, and performance analyses.
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure promotional strategies are effectively executed and evaluated.
Sales Teams Training
- Research and recommend training interventions to improve the skills of sales teams and sales managers that will deliver improved selling and account management performance.
- Work with Region Training Manager to develop a capability development plan supported by the commercial leadership and sales management teams and ensure effective implementation.
Master Data Management
- Establish master data management strategies and oversee CRM system management.
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across multiple databases and systems through proper SOPs and training.
Engagement
- Work on effective training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure data consistency and accuracy across multiple systems.
- Manage relationships with vendors/contractors for data reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage and improve analytics platforms.
- Work on major BE projects and facilitate local inclusion in international cross-functional projects.
- Ensure local alignment with international BE visions and strategies.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent (preferably in Business/Marketing).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Excellence roles.
- Wide business experience in different commercial departments is a benefit.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and business acumen.
- Strategic thinking and a proactive approach.
- Ability to operate in matrix organizations.
- Stakeholder management and people management skills are a benefit.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Proficiency in MS applications; CRM and IT experience preferred.
- Self-starter attitude with a track record of executing complex projects quickly with minimal guidance.
- Strong bias for action and results orientation.
