Job Description
Join AbbVie as a HR Advisor and be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making within our HR team. In the HR Advisor role, you will provide valuable insights to our HR Business Partners and HR Director by collecting, analysing, and interpreting HR data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving our HR processes and initiatives. Your responsibilities will span a range of generalist activities throughout the employment cycle, including delivering HR advice and administrative support to implement people management initiatives and key HR projects. By adopting a data-driven approach, you will offer critical insights into the effectiveness of our HR practices and aid in future planning, directly contributing to the overall success of AbbVie.

Major Responsibilities:
- Analyse and translate HR data from our HR information System, reports, employee surveys, performance evaluations, and other relevant systems into meaningful presentations and reports
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate HR data and insights to key stakeholders whilst continually validating HR data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Ongoing collaboration with our HR Connect (Shared Services) team to optimise Workday and other systems and ensure data accuracy and accessibility, and continually identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in HR data
- Identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights related to HR metrics and key performance indicators such as turnover, employee engagement, employee performance, retention, promotion and mobility, succession, and diversity and inclusion
- Collaborate with our HR Business Partners, and HR Director, to understand data requirements and develop reports to meet their needs, including functional turnover, salary and benefit analysis, performance and talent review data and headcount reconciliation
- Support HR data requirements for regulatory reporting, audits (i.e Payroll, Finance, TGA audit etc), and compliance purposes.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required and
- Support BHR team and Talent Lead as necessary with employee life cycle processes, including conducting New Hire Human Resources orientation/induction
- Provide quality and timely HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Coach Line Managers through employee lifecycle processes e.g. hire, performance review, development options, termination
- Undertake membership of wellbeing and/or EEDI committee
- Manage ANZ visa applications, checks, and renewals
- Attend Talent and Performance calibrations sessions to document and analyse data and metrics
- Prepare data for Local/Area/Regional templates as required and serve as a backup for the HR Administrator
- General administrative duties, as required, (eg Organisational Chart preparation, presentation preparation, drafting employee letters, drafting announcements etc).
Qualifications
Education/Experience Required:
- Proven experience as an HR Data Analyst/Advisor/Specialist or similar role, with expertise in HR data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from HR data.
- HR expertise - knowledge of the science behind what we do in HR, knowledge of HR best practices and understanding of HR policies and processes.
- Proficiency in using HR data tools and systems to create dashboards and reports (Workday, Dayforce, Service Now, HRConnect Portal, Smart Recruiter, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI etc)
Essential Skills & Abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling and analysing HR data.
- Excellent communication and consultation. Ability to manage stakeholders and their expectations and communicate HR data and results and policies and procedures to the relevant stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong working relationships and effectively influence people of all levels to drive change and improvement, keep the business involved in your analytics project and keep them up to date in progress and potential setbacks.
- Understanding of projects and how the data analysis will impact the business.
- Results oriented, self-motivated and flexibility in thinking and pragmatic problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with HR data analysis trends, tools, and best practices.
- Discretion – ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential way
