We are strengthening our Oncology unit and are now looking for a
BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER
to lead our Hematology business in Finland.
In this role you are responsible for strategic development, tactical implementation, and financial planning of Sales and Marketing initiatives within Finland. You will lead the Hematology Brand Team and business by coordinating all commercial activities while keeping the patient at the heart of all efforts, ensuring compliance with AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. In your role you report to Business Unit Director Oncology and you will be located in Pasila, Helsinki.
Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Sales Execution: Manage and execute all brand-related marketing and sales activities as per the Brand Plan, ensuring sales performance meets or exceeds targets within expense budgets
- Leading the sales Team: Lead, develop, and coach the Sales Team to meet sales targets and optimize performance through incentives and sales management systems.
- Financial Planning: Hold accountability for the Brand P&L aspects including sales, financial planning, and long-range forecasting.
- Strategic Direction: Set future directions for both existing and new products and business opportunities to achieve maximum results.
- Lead the Hematology Brand Team: Lead the Brand Team with a shared vision, fostering collaboration, taking responsibility for brand activities and achieving strategic goals. Ensure development and execution of the Brand strategy.
- Cross-functional Cooperation: Build and maintain professional relationships across various stakeholders to ensure seamless information flow and collaborative execution of brand strategies.
- Talent Development: Develop and coach team members, create succession plans, and maintain high performance within the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Area and Global Integration: Collaborate with area and global functions to align local strategies with global brand vision and objectives.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead successfully sales and marketing within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Oncology/Hematology.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to develop a business vision, translate it into strategies, and implement actionable plans.
- Proven track record in managing P&L responsibilities and financial planning
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to quickly build knowledge and relationships with key stakeholders.
- Leadership skills: Proven success in leading and developing high performing teams.
- Ability to foster teamwork and encourage cross-functional cooperation.
- Deep understanding of the Finnish healthcare environment and evolving landscape to lead effectively in a matrix organization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with diverse customer audiences and therapeutic decision-makers in both Finnish and English.
