AbbVie is seeking a hands on and experienced Senior Financial Analyst - GTN with expertise in scenario modeling, business case creation and knowledge of pharmaceutical business to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all elements pertaining to price to support the financial planning process, including budgeting, accrual preparation and variance explanations. The position will work closely with Commercial Finance & Market Access teams and will report to the Finance Pricing Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record month-end journal entries for price accruals, ensuring accuracy in financial closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide monthly price variance commentaries and supporting month end schedules
- Review and approve invoices ensuring alignment to product listing agreements.
- Develop and deploy robust financial models and analytical tools to support strategic business decision-making allowing for scenario planning.
- Actively participate in the budgeting process and financial planning of price elements.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders ensuring precise financial reporting and forecasting while fostering a cohesive work environment.
- Deliver strategic financial insights and input to the market access head office and field team, supporting pricing analytics.
- Oversee the review and approval of contracts, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and objectives.
- Provide comprehensive documentation and assistance in support of internal and external audits.
- Address and fulfill ad-hoc financial requests as needed to support business objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Preferred 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance
- Extensive experience in financial analysis, data modeling and data analysis.
- Familiar with revenue planning and forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information to facilitate data-driven decision making.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
