Job Description
The Senior Tax Analyst will play an important role within the tax department and will be a part of the US Domestic Tax Operations Team. The Senior Tax Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the US federal income tax compliance and reporting processes, which includes the preparation of the US federal income tax return and related calculations and workpapers, and the preparation of US domestic tax provision calculations. The Senior Tax Analyst will collaborate with team members to assist with providing guidance on US federal income tax matters and will participate in various projects and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of federal income tax returns and supporting workpapers, calculations, schedules, and documentation.
- Preparation of US domestic aspects of the US GAAP quarterly and annual tax provisions, including analysis of tax accounts and reserves and SOX compliance.
- Research complex tax issues and provide interpretation and application of tax law to specific transactions and factual situations.
- Monitor and analyze changes in US tax legislation and determine the impact to AbbVie.
- Assist with special projects, including planning initiatives, process improvements, audit support, and tax technology implementation.
- Collaborate with team members and demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills through identification and escalation of issues appropriately and sharing results with team members and leadership.
Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance required.
- 3+ Years related experience.
Preferred:
- Big Four public accounting or Fortune 500 corporate tax experience preferred.
- Large corporate multinational tax experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Corptax and Longview/other tax provision software experience preferred.
- CPA and/or MST a plus.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
