Job Description
The RINVOQ Dermatology Consumer Marketing Director’s responsibility is to provide overarching leadership and direction for the consumer marketing vision, strategy, plans, and resource investment across Atopic Dermatitis and any launch indications. Success will be measured by impact on both sales and contribution of key consumer investments on the IBT’s P&L.
- Create a positive culture, set a tone of ownership and accountability, and have a people development mindset. Be an active voice in the IBT and embody the AbbVie ways of working
- Understand overall business trends, the competitive environment, and articulate consumer strategies that are integrated within the overall business and competitive context. Demonstrate ownership of strategic planning process and, in collaboration with the IBT Leadership Team, develop the vision, strategy, and financials of the business plan.
- Lead a team of up to five in prioritizing and executing integrated marketing tactics that are anchored in consumer insight, aligned to brand strategies, and measured with clear post launch learning
- Embody an innovation and enterprise mindset, sharing ideas with organization, including close collaboration with the SKYRIZI counterpart and other consumer Immunology directors
- Manage consumer agencies across the RINVOQ Dermatology Franchise. Accountable for continuing to build a strong and collaborative partnership with agency partners in delivering breakthrough creative (as measured by copy testing research and in-market performance) for key integrated multi-channel campaigns (broadcast, digital, social, content marketing), and the production of creative
- Provide direction, input, and feedback on media strategies and plans
Additional Key Activities:
- Partner with agency, MABI, CI, to monitor the competitive landscape to uncover and/or validate activating consumer insight(s) to unlock strategic opportunities across the RINVOQ derm portfolio
- Further develop marketing and leadership capabilities across the Derm Consumer Team. Contribute to the capabilities development across Consumer Immunology
- Drive long term evolution and sustainability of each asset’s positioning, including evaluation of pan Derm campaigns. Lead the team in the ability to translate positioning into compelling strategies, tactics, and communications
- Use of H2H and scientific studies where appropriate within the consumer ecosystem
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
Accountability & Scope:
The incumbent works closely with brand teams (Derm HCP Directors, Immunology Consumer Marketing) outside agencies, third party partners, and internal functions (e.g., Media, Market Research, OEC, Legal, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, etc.).
Qualifications
- Basic: BA, BS degree required or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in business preferred.
Key AbbVie Competencies:
- 10+ yrs marketing experience required, 5 of which specific to healthcare; 3+ yrs in management.
- Proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: leadership, technical marketing, business/financial acumen, strategic thinking and agility, teamwork, initiative, innovation, integrity, and communication

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
