Job Description

Purpose

This position plays a critical role in supporting the VP, HR Operations and Payroll and the leadership team in both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations. This position acts as a liaison, advisor, and facilitator to ensure the seamless execution of operational strategies and processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, effective storytelling capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Support:

  • Supports the VP, HR Operations and team to develop and implement strategies that align with the HR organization and AbbVie's overall business goals.
  • Facilitates strategic planning sessions and help prioritize HR initiatives to maximize impact.
  • Tracks and enables delivery of HR Operations strategies partnering closely with cross-functional partners including BHR, COE, and BTS.

· Operational Oversight:

  • Manages goals, projects, and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and communication across the broader HR Operations team.
  • Develops and maintain dashboards for tracking HR Operations key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to the leadership team.
  • Owns and coordinates organizational governance including all-employee and staff meetings, operational reviews, and strategic forums.
  • Prepares the analysis of key HR data to provide insights that drive informed decisions
  • Ensures insights are available for and leveraged by the leadership team, project leads, and cross-functional partners to enhance HR operations and support optimizing the broader HR model.

· Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Leads the adoption of new technologies and processes by partnering with teams to ensure alignment with HR objectives.
  • Implements strategies to enhance team collaboration and connectivity, driving progress on key initiatives with BHR, Centers of Excellence and Cross-functional team members

· Communication and Reporting:

  • Prepares and delivers presentations, reports, and briefings to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ensures consistent and clear communication of HR Operations initiatives, expectations, and updates across the organization.
  • Champions AbbVie ways of working with the organization by modeling, educating, and coaching on these behaviors.

· Continuous Improvement:

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements within the HR Operations and work with relevant teams to implement solutions.
  • Facilitates, implements and models positive change by consistently raising the bar
  • Stays current with best practices and innovations in the HR operations and HR technology space.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, communications, chief of staff or similar roles.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data and insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred:

  • Proven ability to create executive-level presentations that demonstrate concise and impactful storytelling
  • Experience in a large, matrixed organization or global company
  • Knowledge of HR information systems and data analytics tools.(i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Smartsheets, Workday, ServiceNow)

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
