Job Description
The Marketing Operations Specialist will be responsible for playing an integral part of the team building 1:1 marketing programs, creating and routing iterative content for HCP marketing teams.
This hybrid role requires the ability to commute to our Mettawa, IL office location at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Create iterative interactive visual aid or email content using our content creation platform by leveraging existing content, cloning the asset, and making the adjustments directed by marketing.
- Ensure high quality, on-time, and error free implementation, testing, and QA of campaigns within the marketing automation platform. Create, review, and share standard quality control document, content testing ideas with marketing to gain alignment prior to submitting for review and follow process to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identify issues, identify root cause, and recommend corrective action for campaign builds, IP reputation and deliverability.
- Partner with the appropriate creative agency when any design files are needed.
- Route content that has been created through the Material Review Process to gain approval. This includes serving as Project originator
- Execute email proofs from marketing automation platform to ensure email creative is functioning properly. Monitor email deliverability across domains for all brand campaigns implemented. Provide recommendations on how to optimize deliverability, resolve IP reputation issues and ensure proper inbox placement.
- Participate in agile delivery activities such as design, build, QA, and continuous improvement. Maintain documents per requirements of department document management policies and procedures.
- Write velocity scripting when needed for emails with dynamic content. Maintain email inventory (templates and modules) for brands you’re supporting. Provide email content creation tool and/or process enhancement ideas to the email product owner to inform the email capability roadmap. Escalate email content tool platform issues to the Email Product Owner
- Build and execute test plans, identify winners and pro-actively recommend optimization opportunities and ensure high email deliverability, reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with various internal / external partners to define, execute, and optimize email, direct mail, and media campaigns. Cross-functional teams include Brand Marketing, Strategy, Business Technology Solutions, Marketing Analytics & Business Insights, Creative and Digital Agencies.
Provides exemplary customer service while setting, maintaining, and exceeding brand expectations. Provide updates on projects and any risks to Senior Specialist. - Keep abreast of 1:1 marketing and email industry best practices and new technology by participating in professional organizations, as well as attending industry seminars and conferences. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience of Database Marketing, CRM, Email, Digital, Direct Mail, 1:1 marketing experience. Digital marketing or interactive agency experience is a plus. Experience in Pharma preferred but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on work experience creating marketing campaigns in enterprise-level marketing automation platforms such as Marketo / SFMC. Marketo Expert Certification required.
- Ability to think strategically with a strong ability to execute plans and exceed stakeholder expectations and project goals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong client service and project management skills; in particular, must have the ability to communicate with both business and technical individuals effectively
- Knowledge of database, email, digital, 1:1 marketing concepts and best practices
Proficiency with MS Excel, SQL and HTML/ CSS
Experience with Adobe suite of products preferred
Inquisitive, strong analytical skills, including the ability to infer and apply learnings
Knowledge of email with HTML/CSS experience and email rendering tools (ie. Litmus, etc.) - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with both business and technical individuals effectively

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
