In our Medical department at the Wiesbaden site, you will be working in a team of talented people and experienced medical experts. You will drive the strategy and execution of medical affairs across a diverse therapeutic area and product portfolio, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.

Make your mark:
- Leads and manages a brand-aligned medical team, fostering excellence and strategic innovation.
- Develops and implements medical affairs strategies, driving value to affiliate and global plans.
- Integrates medical teams within cross-functional groups, maintaining functional independence.
- Oversees product portfolio management, pipeline activities, and strategic direction.
- Drives evidence generation plans, strategic collaborations, and support market access activities.
- Ensures adherence to company policies and ethics, upholding a culture of compliance.
- Promotes diversity and talent development within the organization.
- Represents AbbVie at local, area, and global leadership meetings, enhancing external networking.
- Is a proactive, solution-oriented member of German medical affairs leadership team, and cross-functional partner of the respective business unit director and market access director
Qualifications
This is how you can make a difference
- University degree in Medicine, Pharmacology, or Natural Sciences; MD or PhD preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 2 years of managing a team.
- Proven ability to thrive in complex matrix organizations.
- Strong understanding of leading medical specialists' needs and agendas, preferably within immunology
- Experience in in-field and stakeholder/customer-facing roles.
- Proficiency in English, German would be an advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local regulatory requirements and GCP, ensuring compliance in clinical trials.
- Expertise in conducting clinical Ph. IIIb/IV studies and generating Real World Evidence data.
- Robust grasp of statistical research methods.
