Job Description
The Finance FP&A Lead is integral to shaping the company's financial strategy through expert management of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role involves comprehensive trend analysis and in-depth evaluations of cost, operational expenses (OPEX), and full P&L structures. The FP&A Lead is responsible for consolidating financial reports and ensuring seamless submission to the regional team.
Key responsibilities include preparing, analyzing, and consolidating monthly ADS (operational forecast), LBE (financial forecast), the Annual Plan, and the Long-Range Plan (LRP). The role also involves crafting detailed monthly commentary and conducting exhaustive P&L analyses. As an S&OP leader, the FP&A Lead supports demand review meetings by presenting brand trends, managing sales closure processes, analyzing price/volume variances, and ensuring precise data entry into financial systems.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, crucial for effective consolidation and reporting within the FP&A system. This position also requires the ability to manage large volumes of data and create impactful presentations for executive management and the regional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the consolidation of the entire P&L, preparing detailed analyses and commentary for submission in the FP&A system.
- Manage multiple FP&A systems, ensuring accurate data submission and comprehensive analysis.
- Develop product P&Ls and conduct profitability analyses across various dimensions such as products, channels, and brands.
- Design and implement automated dashboards to enhance data visualization and accessibility.
- Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, fostering integrated business planning across all departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A Business Partners, Commercial, Market Access, Supply, Regulatory, and Quality teams, to align financial forecasts with sales and operational activities.
- Support demand review meetings by presenting thorough trend analyses for each brand and providing strategic insights.
- Perform in-depth financial data and trend analyses to identify opportunities and risks, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Manage the sales close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Analyze price and volume variances to understand and communicate their impacts.
- Oversee the monthly system upload of the entire P&L, including sales, cost, expenses, and ADS data.
- Support all planning cycles throughout the year, including LBE, PLN, and LRP processes.
- Reconcile actuals against prior forecasts, budgets, and the previous year, providing variance analysis to explain performance outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for affiliate management and the regional team, highlighting key financial insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in finance or FP&A roles, in any market.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, SAP, and Power BI.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of the accounting cycle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive organizational change.
- Leadership capabilities to manage processes across various areas.
