Job Description
The AA Marketing Director holds direct responsibility for the development and effective implementation of a local market plan for the Medical Aesthetics products within Turkey. They will provide input to International Marketing & Commercial Operations (IMCO) planning to ensure close alignment between IMCO brand strategy and local implementation within Turkey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Leads the country team and ensures the team develops and executes local market plans in line with IMCO marketing plans. Be a member of AA Management Team and provide input for all LT and management related subjects
- Contributes to the development of IMCO strategy with the Regional marketing team and acts as the co-ordinating and communications link between the IMCO Brand Team and the country team.
- Develops local market plan in line with IMCO strategy and agrees with General Manager, also agreeing split of promotional budget between local programs within country to achieve local Consumer & Brand & Digital Marketing objectives.
- Identifies clear roles and responsibilities for delivery of local marketing tactics and agrees with General Manager. Communicates the roles and responsibilities to relevant stakeholders including Business Excellence team, Sales Management, AMI, Agencies.
- Follow up the management of local & global Congresses with PMs and new indication launches to ensure alignment with local Business Plan, Regional marketing strategy and Congress/Medical Education plans.
- Anticipates competitor strategy, makes recommendations to General Manager and develops counter-plans.
- Tracks implementation of activities in the local market plan working with agencies and country team to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Reviews implementation of the local market plan and feeds back to IMCO team. Monitors public competitor activities (spending time in field to understand the local market) and ensures local organisation and regional marketing are kept up to date.
- Maintain contact with key accounts; identify opportunities for corporate marketing and cultivate as appropriate.
- Arrange, execute and control country expense within approved allocated budget.
- Develop and manage the expense budget within plan regularly monitor performance.
- Manages promotional budget to maximum effect ensuring effective spend to deliver sales and profit targets.
- Trains country sales force in the execution of market programs and use of materials.
- Set short-term objectives that drive toward longer-term goals or strategies and monitor. Stay with a plan of action until the desired objective is achieved.
- Look to the future; identify emerging opportunities and seize them.
- Management and Delivery of Promotional Materials
- Collaborate with product managers in the team to ensure promotional materials, Congress and HCP Training materials are managed through local regulatory approval process and are translated and delivered in line with Regional marketing strategy and local market plan.
- Reports on effectiveness of local materials and activities to agree local amendments with Area marketing team and General Manager.
- Sales and Financial Objectives
- Participate in annual forecasting cycle as well as plan process including forecasting and expense planning.
- Routinely utilise market data to appraise brand performance and market evolution and take action as appropriate.
- Prepare LRP (long range plan) in line with IMCO recommendations based on local market dynamics.
- Collaborates with local team to identify and implement all effective action necessary towards achievement of agreed sales targets for country.
- Anticipates competitor strategy, makes recommendations to General Manager and develops counter-plans.
- Manages promotional budget to maximum effect ensuring effective spend to deliver sales and profit targets.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experiences
- University bachelor degree or equivalent (preferably Business/Marketing or Lifescience)
- Minimum 10+ years of professional commercial experience with at least 5 years of Marketing focus
- Experience Experience of Pharmaceutical / Medical Aesth / FMCG
- Sales and/or Sales Management experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Fluency in English
- Good analytical skills
- Experience in training /coaching is a plus
