AbbVie is looking for a Brand Manager within Immunology with a focus on Gastro, Sweden.

AbbVie has been engaged in the Immunology/ Gastro field for a long time and is one of the leading companies within these areas. We are working with both Chron´s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Job Description

As Brand Manager you will have a central role in the gastro team. In collaboration with the cross-functional team in Sweden you will lead the development of the Strategic brand plan and be a key contributor to the functional planning. You will take responsibility for analyzing the market landscape, collect patient and customer insights. In addition you will gather insights of regarding the external environment (health care, payer landscape) and the development within the therapeutic area. These insights will be used to develop local strategies and activities that further establish our products in the market.

You will also be responsible for developing materials or localize global marketing content, for the Swedish market. You will develop materials to be used in different communication channels, both printed and digital, and you have the possibility to try new ways of communicating, try innovative ideas and develop new ideas for customer activities.

The Brand Manager collaborates closely with the cross-functional team and is a key member of the brand team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and adapt brand planning to reflect Swedish market needs and trends.
  • Develop and implement effective functional and account plans.
  • Collaborate with the team to create impactful customer activities that drive market presence.
  • Gather and apply market, patient, and product insights to strategic planning.
  • Oversee the roll-out of global initiatives and train the sales team on brand execution.
  • Ensure all deliverables and communications align with branding and local regulations.
  • Drive marketing activities using a mix of channels and innovative tactics.
  • Manage promotional budgets efficiently to achieve objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships within cross-functional teams and actively participate in strategic forums.
  • Engage directly with the field to stay connected with market developments and customer needs.
  • Ensure an effective channel mix (including congresses, advertising, CLM) to reach prioritized customers and the broader gastro community.
  • Execute a range of communication activities and materials, tailoring approaches for different stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of the Swedish Health Care environment and evolving landscape.
  • Proven track record of success in either a sales or market access position.
  • A couple of years experience in brand management. Meaning, you know how to produce and have experience in brand planning.
  • Solid knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing principles and techniques including digital knowledge.
  • Experience with inflammatory disease area is preferable, experience from gastroenterology is highly desirable
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience of Business planning, financial analysis of business opportunities, analysis of pharmaceutical market data.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry rules and regulations.
  • Structured & effective - Ability to support the team within tight time frames and with responsibility of several parallel projects.
  • Clever, analytical & creative - you will be able to demonstrate examples where you have identified, navigated and unlocked previously unexplored opportunities in the Swedish healthcare landscape
  • Fluent in Swedish , written and spoken. Strong command of English written and spoken.
  • University degree or equivalent with a scientific background e.g. pharmacist, nurse or similar, or a university degree in marketing, business administration or similar.
