We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Manorhamilton Road, Sligo on an initial 24 months fixed term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for all of the Financial affairs of the plant. Your Primary objective is to plan, control, administer, interpret and report on the financial performance both to management at Plant level, FFS, BPO and Corporate Finance. You will also gain valuable experience working closely with all departments of the business and engaging regularly with Senior stakeholders of the business.

Key activities you will perform in the role:
- Supports the finance function through data processing, accounts preparation and analysis.
- Ensure that financial procedures are adhered to.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and Balance Sheet rec’s as requested.
- Work on preparation of Annual Plan and Updates.
- Conduct weekly cycle counting of all inventories and annual physical inv of Engineering
Stores, process monthly movements for all spare parts. - Manage Contractors Insurance.
- Set up, maintain and reconcile all Fixed Assets.
- Carry out any other analysis or ad hoc duties as requested by the Plant Controller.
- Process invoices, reconcile accounts, understand contractors insurance, analyze variances
and other information. - All items processed will be reconciled to general ledger reports which are reviewed by the
Plant Controller. - Liaise with AFs and BPO as required.
- Adheres to and supports all EHS & E standards, procedures and policies.
Qualifications
The educational background and preferred experience we look for:
- A relevant 3rd level qualification (level 8+) in Finance or Accounting (ACCA, ACA) is required however candidates working towards their Accounting exams will also be considered.
- The ideal candidate would have 2+ years’ experience in a similar financial role in a large Multi-National or Pharmaceutical company.
- Ability to work under pressure and reach tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills
- The ability to work under your own initiative and adapt when required
